Residence permit for Norway

In some countries, Denmark handles visa case processing on behalf of other Schengen countries. However, due to various entry restrictions, the representation agreements have been suspended until further notice - except for Iceland regarding visas and residence permits and Norway regarding residence permits.

1. Residence permit

Residence permits are only granted by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI), for information regarding the processing time for each type of case, click here http://www.udi.no/templates/Page.aspx?id=4938.

ONLINE PAYMENT OF EMBASSY FEE FOR RESIDENCE AND WORK PERMITS TO DENMARK AND NORWAY

From 1 July 2019 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark including all Danish diplomatic missions are introducing online payment of the embassy fee for residence and work permit applications.

The embassy fee must be paid online using this link https://dys.um.dk/permit/. Payment must be made before you submit your application with the VFS Visa Application Centre (VAC).

Enquiries about residence and work permits

All inquiries about residence and work permits for Denmark and Norway should be addressed to the VAC. All applications from Mexico and our accredited countries must be submitted to the VAC who will also take the biometrics of the applicants.

Submitting your application

For applications to Denmark and Norway:

It is a requirement that you submit your application in person at the VAC in Mexico. Applications cannot be submitted at the Embassy of Denmark or any of the Danish Consulates in Mexico or our accredited countries.
